Ibn Haldun ( Person)

Ibn Khaldun, full name Abu Zayd Abd al-Rahman ibn Muhammad ibn Khaldun, was born on May 27, 1332, in Tunis, present-day Tunisia. He was a Muslim historiographer and historian, widely considered as one of the founders of the fields of historiography and sociology. Ibn Khaldun's most famous work is "Muqaddimah" ("Introduction" or "Prolegomena"), in which he discussed historical methodology and laid the groundwork for the philosophy of history.
